I am sure that back when automobiles first came on the scene, people said
much the same thing. The internet has changed a LOT of things, and a greater
access to what people are willing to pay is one of those changes. Did this
listserver exist prior to the Internet? Online auctions can be abused like
anything else, but overall, we are better off having them.

Until I found out about this listserver, I had no idea what kind of interest
existed for Heath equipment, or how to get in touch with knowledgeable
people such as are on this list. When I meet other interested Heath users,
if they are not aware of his list, I try to get them to subscribe. A great
resource!!! as is ebay.
