Open letter to Ken, KD7FLE.  One respondent mentioned the lack of a
general coverage ability of the HW- SB series.  There is one of the
series, the SB-310 that is an SWL receiver only (no transmitter) that was
designed for that purpose.I have one in mint shape and they do cost more
than the transceivers as they are becoming rare. My unit has all three
filters, AM, SSM, and CW. and I really enjoy it.  There has only been one
on e-bay in the last 6 or 7 months and it sold for $355. Fred W7PRV
