Chuck's book

I have a copy highly recommend it as a main reference manual for 'all things Heathkit'
(Amateur Radio gear-wise). A valuable tool for reference when you have a 'What was an
SB-xxx or HW-xxx selling for and when was it made and just WHAT did it do' question
arises. It also provides untold pleasure for us 'Heath-ians' who take a L-O-N-G trip
down memory lane from the first Heathkit we built to the last one we owned. If you've
been into Heathkit for any length of time or owned them, you'll have quite a few of the
"AH HAA!! I Remember THAT one!" or "I OWNED THAT!" or "GEE! I forgot that they made
that!" thoughts running through your mind as you read. It's a valuable book. (and no..
I have no connection with Chuck other than a great addiction 'to the green'!)

One aside, I did actually find a piece of gear NOT in the book. I recently bought the
Heath SA7010 Tri Band (20/15/10 meters) beam with the book and am refurbing it. It was
made later in the company's life. Actually it uses all the same parts as the HyGain
antennas and my suspicion is that HyGain made the antenna and Heath 'private labeled'
it. ANyway.. it's a rarity in my understanding. (No, I don't want to sell HI HI!) I
plan to use it!
