Heathkit PS-1144 Power Supply

I'm using the above power supply with my SB-104A.
A short time ago I shut down and unplugged the power supply.
A little later (15mins) I plugged it back in then turned on the 104, the
radio briefly lit, I heard a small crackling sound an then nothing. The
104 doesn't light up or turn on.

I've waited until everything is very cool and tried it
again........nothing.
Not that it ever ran very hot, it didn't.

I believe (hope) the problem is with the power supply, I've checked the
fuses and they
appear to be OK.

I'd like to check further with the power supply but need some direction.

The only thing I have for testing is an older Simpson Meter #260 and
limited skills
using it.

Can anyone help?
Ray
