Help with HO-10

 I'm not familiar with the unit, but I would be curious to know what
the value of the cathode resistor is in the tone oscillator, if its a
1K ohm, try subing a 680 ohm and see if the oscillator will take off.
 They was a problem years back with the sidetone oscillator in the
HW-100-101 and SB series rigs and many times the PEC was replaced
and wouldn't correct the problem, changing the cathode resistor to 680
ohms
would. If NEITHER tone works, I doubt its a PEC, look to whats common
between both oscillators.
