I have a "manual" here somewhere...  Others have covered all you
really need to know.  The 336 has a 1090 Megohm resistor in it, 2%.
The 1090 M and the __10__ Meg input impedance of the VTVM makes it a
100 to 1 multiplier.  The back of the probe unscrews and the resistor
is a glass cartridge HV resistor almost the full length of the probe.

When I find the sheet ...  oops, manual, I'll scan it and send to you.
