OH MY GOSH !

I documented my rekitting of a DX-60 and AR-3 here a couple years ago. I
found them on the Internet, and both were in need of rebuilding. My chassis
parts were either in good condition, or cleaned up quite well, so I didn't
go to the extreme of having anything replated but, otherwise, my experience
was quite similar to the ER author's. I did have to lace up a new harness
for the DX-60 though. If anyone else goes this route to an 'unbuilt'
Heathkit, I'd suggest that once all the parts are cleaned up and ready to be
reassembled, they put them in a box, glue it shut, and wait at least a year.
The familiarity gained from disassembly sorta spoils the fun of assembly.
It's more enjoyable when you have forgotten what all goes inside.
