HW 8 Power

A few years back, I replaced the output transistor with a recommendation
that gave
me an extra watt.  Don't remember the type numbers, but someone will or I
can look it up.
Works fine.  Also,  I now run the HW8 into a Ramsey  linear for 80 meters,
usually at about 12
watts, but it will push 20,  and work the east coast with it from here in
the Catskill
Mountains.  And regarding a previous discussion, there is at least one
publication
devoted to HW 8 mods, kinks and homebrew accessories.  I have it and can
look up the name if anyone wants to know.
(I'm not in the shack at the moment.)
