VTVM Probe Troubles - A solution

This is the best solution suggested:  Modify the function switch to
directly switch a 10Mohm resistor and use a direct probe.  Since this VTVM
is a blue collar device, and has to work for a living to stay on my
workbench, I think this is what I will do.  Thanks all for the helpful advice.
