SB-104A info needed

The receiver now receives signals and audio is strong but RF gain is weak
and the S-meter does not read except on the strongest signals.

Measuring the Receiver Frontend ("G" board), it has 600-800mv p-p from
the HFO at the correct frequency....seems like that is OK. It has 700mv p-p
from the VFO at the correct frequency....seems like that's OK. The "IF out"
is very small on the scope and I was expecting a reasonable 3395Khz signal.
How much of a signal should you see on the "IF Out" pin ?

Secondly this is the "G" board which has a 417-893 Q702 circuit which I
think is the SB-104A board vs a different design for the SB-104. That
transistor has been replaced ? with a 2N5109. Is that correct for 417-893
what does the book say the 2Nxxxx equivalent is ?

I've checked just about all the components in this area and have found
nothing obviously defective so far.
