SB-300 Receiver problem

Hi,

Sounds like the finger stock that mates the rotor with the frame of the
tuning capacitor is corroded or the bearings are also full of crud. Open up
the unit and clean the bearings and the mating rotating surfaces of the
capacitor. Craig Deoxit will do the cleaning and then a tiny bit of
mineral oil in the bearings after they are flushed out with Deoxit. Don't
use any abrasives to clean contact surfaces (pencil erasers are the tools of
the Devil) and so on).

    good luck

    Bob, KE6F
