HW-101 Problem

Jim...

I think Ed may have something there...has your friend checked the
prescribed voltages(s) while peaking the heterodyne oscillator coil slug?

I'm not familiar with the "HW" series, but on the "SB" line there's a
specific test pont on the oscillator board for monitoring voltage as each
individual osc. coil is adjusted---the "...desirable average" is some minus
2-1/2 volts.

All your buddy might have to do is shoot for this voltage while slowly
re-peaking the slug, & that's it!
