HW-101 Knowledge Base

Greetings list,

I ran into a irritating problem with my HW-101 this weekend.  While listen
to a CW station, the tone would shift up in frequency and then almost
immediately shift back down.  The shift was about 400 Hz.  I at first
thought it might be the sending station, but as I listened to others, the
shift repeated itself.  The shift happens rapidly and often. I dialed in a
SSB signal and the shift, if it occurred, was not discernable.

Before I tore open the unit, I just wanted to tap the list's knowledge base
and see if anyone could point me in the right direction.
