This is off the QRZ page; I guess torching his equipment is a recurrent
theme.

N6AYJ, known to his so-called friends as "Billy the Bill Collector", was
first licensed in 1960 as WA6LSF. He's been an active ham ever since, to the
chagrin of many of his fellow ops. He attended U.C. Berkeley (A.B., 1968)
and U.C. - Hastings College of the Law (J.D., 1972) and is a practicing
attorney, but please don't hold that against him because he's still trying
to find honest work. With his wife Bobbie, he also operates a quarter horse
breeding ranch. His other avocations include horseback riding, endurance
bicycle riding and restoring antique automobiles, especially early Dodge
Brothers cars (the last real automobile). For the last couple of years he
has maintained his primary station at his Shingle Springs residence rather
than on his Diamond Springs parcel (home of the tall pines and wire beams).
He has three kids: Ben (KB6ZD), age 32, a college professor; Sydney, age 11;
and Nathan, age 9. Sydney and Nathan do nothing except play on their
Nintendo and break their go-kart, but AYJ loves them anyway. He enjoys
working DX, building antennas and ragchewing on 75 meters. He always keeps
his old MFJ twit filter in line, which provides over 60 db of twit
attenuation, which really makes the hobby worthwhile and prevents him from
having that overwhelming urge to dump his gear in a pile and torch it.
