SB 1400

SB-1400 was custom modified Yaesu FT-747. Yaesu modified the front panel (no
internal speaker, moved AGC switch form inside on pcb to front panel) and
changed from orange to green backlighting. Because of this, Yaesu will not
support it. If you twist their arms, they will sell you replacement modules
(at scary prices), but they don't like to. The front panel and display/cpu
board are different, the main/motherboard has minor differences (a connector
instead of a slide switch), possibly others I was never aware of, and the
xtal filters have Heath labels (!)

It was manufactured for Heath on the condition that Heath handle the
service.
