well gang,

I found that RAMSEY electronics still has kits for
ham radio.
I have not tryied them yet.

radioshack.com has a few also but not very good.
I have bult the rainbow FM reciever kit for 10 meter FM.

It does work but is not very sharp.
has a VFO but no lable for dial.
I hade to use a frequancy counter to see where I was at.

The electronic ranbow per amp kits work ok.
I bult one.
1 to 2.1Ghz.

I tryied it on TV antenna but strong stations overload
very easy.mostly FM brodcast.need trap.

Too bad heathkit stoped making kits.
I did find Tube audio amp kits on the net..
