I'm getting greener.........an SB-301 followed me home from 20+ years
of "grimy" storage. I've gotten it cleaned up, two shorted electrolytics
replaced, LMO mechanics adjusted, switch contacts cleaned, frozen/
stiff switches freed, a new tube, etc and it basically works.
What I wanted to know: Is the S-meter circuit sensitivity "stingy". I can
only find a few signals which will hit "S-9", most don't move the meter.
Second, Chuck Penson's book indicates that only a VTVM is required
for tuneup. Can someone provide me with the tuneup procedure ? I have
obtained a schematic off the BAMA site.
There is a "grimy" SB-400 right behind it.
