SB-102 and SB-301/401?

Gentlemen (and ladies) I am new to the list. It has been a long time since I
built my first station (DX-60, HR-10, and HG-10). I would like to acquire a
Heath station for my shack. From what I can read, there has been some models
a bit more problem prone than others (assuming not construction errors). I
want something that is at least partial tubes and have focused on the SB-102
and the TWINS (SB-301/401). Other than one is a transceiver, are these both
pretty close performance wise?  I will be using it for casual CW/SSB contacts
on an almost daily basis
