Grin!! I expect you're probably right. The most depressing part is, someday that box, complete
with frame, is going to go on the auction block at Sotheby's.
As for me, the only thing I want to do with things is _USE_ them. I once had a '39 Buick Century.
I wanted to restore it, but I was having too much fun driving it. Seems to me the idea of having
a beautiful old car that never gets outdoors, except to get trailered to shows, is about the
dumbest idea going.
For the record, famous drag racer "Big Daddy" Don Garlits has an auto museum up near Gainsville,
FL. Most of the cars are cars he owned or built during his career, including many of his
dragsters. Some of them are the most beautiful old Fords, some stock, some souped up with
Chrysler engines, etc. Periodically, Garlits will come by and take one out and drive it for a day
or two, then it goes back to the museum.
That's the only way to go, AFAIC. No museum pieces for me. All these VTVM's, etc., are gonna get
_USED_!
