Heathkit Tuner Question

Alan;

Those transmitters used a pi section output circuit that matched a wider
range of impedances, and tubes were much more forgiving than transistors,
for a mis-match. I never used a tuner with my DX-100. In fact I never had
a SWR meter. We just cut the antenna by the book, hooked it up and
started operation.

Heath did make tuners. There is one on auction right now. #439600102. I
see them every so often. Keep an eye on the auction sites.
