HW101 meter problem

I just spent the weekend getting the meter on my HW100 going again.  I had
this problem a few years ago also.  Try changing both 6AU6 IF tubes on the
front right board.  They develop grid leakage and kill the AVC.  The first IF
acts as a DC amplifier to control the meter in the ALC position.  The 6HS6's
in the front end are also tied to the AVC line and could also cause the meter
to peg below scale.
