Reconing speakers

Hi greenies..

I noted from recent postings that one or more folks were interested in 6x9 speaker reconing. I offered to find out for W4DAS, Doug, what it would cost to have them done by a guy I know here in Canada who restores old radios, and in particular, classic car radios and speakers for auto restorers.

For a full voice coil, spider, cone and support restoration, he charges $60 per "one-off" and wil do better for multiples. (Remember that $60 in Canada is about $40 in US bills!) He also gave me the name of a guy in the Detroit area who does similar work, and apparently they refer each other depending on the residence of the customer.
