Heath AM transmitter

You will need the AM filter for the SB-301.  The SSB
filter is really a bit too narrow.  It will work, but
there will be a fair amount of distortion on the AM
signals caused by the narrow bandwidth of the SSB
filter.  Otherwise, the SB-301 will make a pretty good
AM receiver.

There are all sorts of AM transmitters out there.  The
DX-100, DX-100B, and Apache are probably the best of
the Heath AM transmitters.  Others were made by
Johnson, B&W, etc.
