SB-104(a) Call Sign Letters

Hi Greenies... here is a tip I learned for anyone who has an SB-104(a) that no longer has the letters for displaying your call sign on your xcvr...
Create your call sign on your word processor, use an Arial Font approximately 20 - 22 font size (you may need to experiment depending on your hardware/printer).
Change the background to Black and the font color to White.
Print out on a transparancy (instead of paper) in your printer. You can get transparancies (clear plastic sheets used for Overhead presentations) at Office Depot/Max etc...
The result is your call sign with clear letters on black background. Cut it out, and mount it behind the red display window in your SB-104(a). Be sure to put the white, translucent panel back in place behind the letters when you re-assemble everything. The back lighting will display through your call letters, lighting them up! Looks GREAT!
