This very true! Had a nasty experience last December with an item that
simply didn't match the description and picture. I complained to the seller
and sent a copy to ebay. Apparently, ebay takes these complaints very
seriously because they implied legal action would be taken if restitution
was not made. He was also barred from ebay. Bottom line is I got my money
back. This was the first time I ever got taken on ebay after several dozen
purchases. Most folks have been honest and up front about their sale items.

You do have some protection through eBay.  Look in to it- starting
with eBay sending a nastygram to the offending slug.
