Shipping Query

On the other hand, I bought an SB-102 off EBay and it was double packaged
with the tubes in place, and with no additional stuffing around the tubes,
and it arrived in perfect shape. So I guess it's up to the "savage baggage
handlers" whim. In my case, styrofoam peanuts and bubble wrap were enough.
Just out of curiosity, in the "olden days", when you bought a pre-built rig
(say, a TR-4 or KWM-2), they arrived with the tubes installed, didn't they?
Has shipping gotten worse over the years?
Brian
