Amplified vs. Not Amplified D-104

Chris - The reqular D-104, not amplified, will work extremely well with either
a HX-10, Marauder, or a DX-100....there is more than enough audio gain in the
aduio stages of either transmitter to accomodate the hi impedance D-104. I use
D-104's for both of my tansmitters (Dx-100B and HX-10) and I have more gain
than I know what to do with. Crystal elements are best for the D-104....these
are available new for about $20 (available for various sources such as AES). I
have been toying with an idea of using a Astatic 10DA with my HX-10, tho the
D-104 now does a fine job. Larry (KC8JX)
