I've had suggested a couple of tricks in the past - one is that if you
are going to use cardboard boxes, cut 4 fairly good size diameter PVC pipes
and put them in the corners of the inside of the box. Something else you can
do for tubes is to wrap 'em in newspaper or other packing, and stick them
into a suitable length PVC pipe that is the next diameter up from the
tube you are sending...
