ups ups ups

To you "perfect packers" who think all the problem is in the way people
pack things and that UPS is so perfect.

I used to run one of those independent UPS shipping stations which have
been referred to. I have had to deal with customers whose packages had
been run over by forklifts, stabbed through by forklifts, submerged
under water in leaky UPS facilities, crushed by automated equipment,
etc. I'd like to have a nickel for ever instance I saw of this in a 3
1/2 year period. The UPS portion of my job and dealing with all of the
damage claims was the biggest headache I had in my job. No amount of
proper packing could have helped many of these packages.

So, just cause you fellows have been lucky and not had problems doesn't
mean that others aren't and doesn't mean that it is necessarily their
fault when they do. Yes, I have seen lousy packing. I have also seen
careless, rough handling which NO packing could survive. Stop putting
all the blame on the customer with your unnecessarily rude and asinine
comments when you are speaking only from your own experience and trying
to base everyone elses on yours. Just because it's your expeience
doesn't mean it's everyone elses.

To quote Marty, "You guys are full of it."

Nuff said.
