technical question

I have a collins 75s-3 rec . A M  is ok . but when I switch to LSB or USB .
can't hear the signals to good . why down .

Can someone point me in the  right direction  of where to look .

I am not going to the Collins boys because they are just a plug and play
bunch of people .
