SB-310 Question

Hi,

I finally got along playing a bit with my SB-310 I got some time ago. It
is alive but needs cleaning and tune up.
What puzzles me is that the dial starts at 080 and only goes to 420. Is
this normal? I thought it would travel 500 kHz (or was it still kc back then).
