  Hi All,

I recently restored a Heath SB-301 receiver and
last night I made some MDS measurements that
really surprise me, I'm wondering if anyone else
has made like measurements that compare to
mine, they seem a bit too good if you know what I mean:

SB-301

80 meters MDS -136 dbm
40 meters MDS -136 dbm
20 meters MDS -136 dbm
15 meters MDS -135 dbm
10 meters MDS -135 dbm

(40 meters S9 = 32 uv)

This equates to roughly about .08 to .1 uv for 10db S/N
on SSB and is considerably better than the Heath specs.
The above measurements were done with the SSB filter
which make the readings even more amazing to me.
I do believe them to be within 2 or 3 DB maximum.

I was thinking about trying the 6HS6 mod to the RF and
maybe first mixer, but I don't see the point now.

  Any thoughts ?
