Mute on SB-301

Good morning.

Does anyone know how to use the mute jack on the SB-301 other than
connecting it to the SB-401, (which will be coming later, in the fall!!)
I am using the rx with a DX-60A and manual TR but would rather just
throw one switch for antenna changeover instead of putting the rx into
standby. It works, but..... I have a manual but it just mentions the
401.
