Hi Ray...
A couple of years ago I built up a HB supply for an old Multi-Elmac PMR-6A
mobile receiver---it was based on the inverter shown in the '69 Handbook (I
simply rectified the ac output to power up the rig). It works great!
Recently, I acquired an old Heathkit inverter & was experimenting with it as
well, powering my Heathkit SB-301 receiver---again, full marks.
Once you accept the acousical "buzz" emitted by these gizmos as normal,
you'll come to really appreciate their versatility...
