Justin,
As I recall, measuring the receive frequency of an HW-101 transceiver
involves a mixer that compared three frequencies: the bandswitched local
oscillator, the LMO, and the BFO. There is no single point in a Heath HW
line where "the frequency" was available for measurement.
Sure, you can key the transmitter and measure that single frequency, but
most folks don't want to transmit to know where the receiver is pointing.
