GR-78 Band F

Hello Team,,,Still working thru the GR-78 problems. My battery problems
were solved by replacing the old NiCad with Radio Shack 1.25VDC NiCad's
(Times 8). To get them to proper charge level I had to bypass a 47 ohm
resistor that is between the AC transformer and the diodes. All seems well
now.

Went through the alignment with instruments procedure (rather lengthy) and
all was well until I got to Band F. Can't seem to get a signal through.
Looks like the oscillator stage is erratic....I saw a hint on this some
time back regarding changing resistors on the F band osc coils......

Anyone have any further advice or info?? Always appreciated....many Thanks
