Sniping is a no-brainer, and all it takes is a good clock and a knowledge of
what the posting delay is (the time it takes Ebay to recognize your bid from
the time you send it from your computer.)

for anyone who is interested. There are also services which will
automatically do the sniping. And finally, people will always disagree as to
the practice of sniping, much as they do the practice of Capitalism :).
