Dumb question #1

Justin...

Economists here in the Great White North are wont to tell us that inflation
*roughly* doubles every 10 years...

So, say you're rig cost $250.00 in 1975---in 1985 that would translate to
$500.00, in 1995 $1000.00. Now, in 2001, that'd be about $1500.00, or so.

By comparison, in 1976 I bought a brand new, off the lot 1976 Pontiac
Firebird Formula for $6000.00---in '86, that would equate to $12000.00. in
'96 $24000.00, and in 2001, $36000.00. That example is pretty darn close,
only if anything, a new loaded Firebird here in Canada would be in excess of
$40000.00 to-day!

Close enough, though---don't you think? Try it on something you got back
then, & compare to-day's price for the same thing...chocolate bars & cokes
are good examples that come darn close, too.
