Low power from 6146X

Ever notice the Japanese rigs like TS-520 ran higher plate voltage, beyond
what seemed reasonable? I seem to recall in excess of 900 V unloaded on some
rigs. Maybe that was a solution...of course, they may have sedigned their
tank circuits for the different plate impedance from the start, not just
bumped it up.

What would that take, a buck-boost transformer added externally to the
HP23x?
