Final SB-400/SB-300 Question

To All:

One more thing: When I try to use the SB-300 with the SB-400 in transceive
mode, the HET OSC in the SB-300 quits on the 14 & 29MHz bands. Although the
SB-300 aligns perfectly stand-alone, the HET OSC for the above two bands
will not start regardless of any "tweeking" on the HET OSC coils, even with
adjacent coil adjustment, in the SB-300. The 6AB4 triode HET OSC replacement
doesn't help, and all voltages check "okay".

The interconnecting cables are the genuine RG-62A/Us of the proper length;
disconnecting the HET OSC cable allows both those pesky HET OSCs to start up
with no problems. Has anyone seen this problem before? Thanks for any help.
