Hi John,
Yep there is a fellow who has done some preliminary work on this
subject. To get the project started, work thru the fabrication, and
start spittin out Lever knobs at the other end would run about $1000,
give or take a few bucks.
Now considering all the time and money invested, just to break even on
that nominal $1000 invested, what does the Heath group think a fair
price would be for one of these Lever knobs. What is anybody willing to
pay for a brand new "look-alike" knob?? Lets say..$10.00 just for
grins. Are there 100 folks out there willing to pony up, say $15.00
(includes S/H) for a lever knob.....up front, to finance such a venture?
I don't think so.......but I cud be wrong....
A few good natured souls went ahead on other projects such as this and
now have a number of items sitting in boxes, or on shelves waiting for
all the folks who thought those projects were just great. But when it
came time to spend $10, $20, $30 or what ever was the price (Just to
break even on the investment), nobody was around.
I know nothing about making such things, but I am willing to be a
banker and accept any investments folks would like to make in the "Lever
Fabrication Project", and when the Account hits $1500, the guy who knows
how to make these things might be convinced to start production. I know
he is not going to invest $1500 or whatever, sell 2 lever knobs and
maybe even get a complaint that $10.00 is too high a price.....and be
left holding all those levers.....
So, what say you Heath folks??
