SB401 SSB OK, CW lowwww????

  Dave,

  Make sure the carrier oscillator output level is the same
in the CW mode as in the SSB mode, also check and make
sure the oscillator is relatively close to the proper frequency.
 In the CW mode the balanced modulator is "unbalanced"
by applying a bias voltage to the balanced modulator
in order for it to allow the CW carrier though, make sure the
bias voltage is present in the CW mode or you'll get low
to no output in CW, but it will work ok in SSB.
