More HR-10 Recommendations

Hello,
     In addition to all the worthwhile internal mods already
discussed, I've found that using a good preamp like the old Ameco
units helps signals on 10 and 15 meters.  And I think the easiest,
most beneficial outboard addition you can make is to add an audio
filter; I've used the Heath active audio processor with great results --
selectivity is not quite like my SB-301 but definitely more pleasant
than a stock HR-10.  A side benefit is that the signals just sound
better; there's less hum and receiver crud passed through the filter.
