I've been trying to come up with better solutions on how to repair
cracked SB-xxx dials (apparently a common problem) and post those
for everyone on my web site (in the SB-102 section).
The best solution is to buy a new manufacture dial from Mike Shelton
but suppose you wanted to repair the old one ..........
How about an aluminum insert to be epoxied to the front of the dial,
around the hub and behind the drive ring ? Just add epoxy to the hub
and the cracks (while not getting any in the spiral track) ?
Any other suggestions ??
