Better check for other bacon in the circuit (anything else fried), like
stud zener, meter movement (about 1400-1500 ohms; use high ohmage scale
on your meter to avoid pinning.
Might also want to pull 3-500-z and check for grd-cathode short (doesn't
always stay shorted, but does sometimes).
