General Coverage Receiver Question (Tube).

In my experience, the BEST consumer grade shortwave receiver is Japan Radio
Company(JRC). BUT only the early ones - NRD 505, 515 and 525. After that
forget it. After that comes Grundig 600, 650, and 700. Then comes Panasonic
RF-2200. Forget the other(and more expensive ones in the RF series - too
drifty). Then comes Sony ICF-2010. Then comes Sangean ATS909(Radio Shack 398)
and ATS818CS(Realistic 392). Then comes Realistic DX-160(a classic
manufactured by GRE). Finally comes Heathkit receivers(all classic and
collectible).

ALL these receivers are COLLECTIBLE and command high prices on ebay. Harvey.
