Do you mean the Model HD-1250 solid state dip meter?
The one that I have has a 100 - 250 MHz coil that is a flat strip about 12mm
wide.
I also have the manual

Clue me in you experts. Did the final step in the assembly manual for the
original Heath grid dip meter read as follows, "Find the VHF-UHF coil
(Just a strip) and throw it away" ? At three ham swap meets this year
I've seen about ten of them and none ever has that coil. Or is there some
terrible conpiracy afoot that seeks them out and destroys them? Maybe the
same thing that happens to those little screws that seem to find a little
hole and disappear into it as it hits the floor. Hmmmmmm?????Fred W7PRV
