SB-101 front panel

The front panel will require "touch up" paint of the
correct color. Unfortunately, Heath used at least
three different shades of green on front panels (I had
seven SB-Line boxes - still have six - and there are
three different shades of paint used on the front
panels).
The cabinet colors are even "more fun". Of the seven
cabinets that I owned, six were of different shades
running from almost gray to a dingy light green. I
did find an "off the shelf" paint (sorry Mike Shelton)
that actually matched the two cabinets that were the
same color. However, this was one of the lighter
shades. The paint was Krylon Light Sage Gloss
(#2018). If you can find the Krylon Light Sage Satin
(don't know the number) it does even better. I had to
overspray the #2018 with Crystal Clear Krylon to dull
it down just a bit.
A Krylon paint that matched at least two of my front
panels is Krylon Sage Satin (#3512). However, that
works only for panels that don't have any writing on
them (or if you want to re-silk-screen them).
The Krylon Sage Satin (#3512) does a very fine job on
the Apache, Mohawk, Warrior, DX-100B, etc. cabinets if
you don't want the exact "Apache" green. It is
slightly lighter in color, but looks very good. If
you want the "exact" color, the contact Mike Shelton
at Total Electronics (he reads this reflector). Mike
has "touch up" paint. However, that may, or may not,
be exactly the color you need for you panel. There
are just too many different Heath colors!
