I am looking for a collector who would like to adopt this pair. Both have
been fully restored and include extras. The RX-1 has been rebuilt from
scratch using all modern components. The K6AD mods were incorporated during
the reconstruction. Frequency stabilization was achieved with a temperature
controlled oven for the front end. The RX-1, TX-1 and matching speaker (I
think it is the AK5--big ugly one) have all had their cabinets refinished in
the correct color and in epoxy enamel. Both sets have the chrome knobs and
new dial drums. The RX-1 works and sounds great on AM. SSB reception is a
little tricky, but never use it on SSB. Main tuning knobs on both sets use
the Marauder spinner knob. The Apache was a total restoration also. The
chassis was nickel plated before restoration began. Audio is a matched set
of Svetlana EL-34's. Power supply is all solid state. The clipper/limiter
was bypassed and I chose instead to use the Ten-Tec solid state compressor
which is built into the base of a D-104. Apache has full PTT. DowKey
coaxial antenna relay included with the station. This equipment is
absolutely gorgeous in appearance. If you want to get into AM with a
classic Heath station these are for you. I will listen to any serious offers
from the group.

Thanks,

Ron, AB5WG
