Problem With HW-16

Hi, fellow greenies,

I'm hoping someone can help my friend Bob who has an HW-16 and is having
trouble getting it to work when he has it connected to the HG-10B VFO.
He gets no power output, but he can hear the VFO's output on his station
receiver.  He has no xtal, so he can't check to see if the transmitter
even works with a xtal.  If anyone could help him, he would appreciate
it very much.  His name is Bob Jacobson and his email addie is:

If you will, please correspond with him directly, not to me...as I would
serve no good purpose in the loop.
